I’m really leaning into playing with color. I’ve typically worn dark colors. I don’t know if there was a specific reason, but black goes with so much that it is a more versatile option. While a black outfit paired with a red lip is undefeated, I really want to live my life in color! Now, I fully understand that I have black pants on in this outfit but hear me out. I didn’t want to wear jeans to the Duke’s Mayo Bowl game, because I don’t wear them a lot. I usually wear athleisure, because it’s a great on the go option. As you can imagine, when I saw the faux leather joggers it was OVER. I knew they were mine! Haha. I then began to plan my outfit around the pants.

Clear Bag
More than half of my outfit came from Altar’d State. I’d never heard of this store before, but while shopping at SouthPark Mall I noticed it several times. Now, if it’s at that mall then that instantly means that it might be more on the expensive side. Omg. However, I went for it this time. Most football stadiums have clear bag policies and I didn’t have one. While browsing online, I noticed that they had one in stock and it fit the size requirements for the stadium's policy. So, I purchased the clear bag in the video above for about $35. Sweater Of course, I was rushing to get to the stadium early enough to get on the field prior to the game. My $30-ish sweater that I purchased via order pickup at Nordstrom wasn’t ready yet and I didn’t have time to wait. Someone must have put back this hot pink sweater because it was on the rack behind the cash register. It stood out to me and it happened to be my size too! So, I purchased it separately. Now, I don’t know if I’ve ever paid about $80 for a sweater in my life but it saved me time. It probably was the better option because the sweater from Nordstrom was bright orange. This pink contrasted well against the stadium’s blue seats, so I was pleased! Pants It paired great with the faux leather joggers that I just knew I needed. Now, let’s talk about those pants. They instantly warmed me up! I’m not so sure if that was a great thing while rushing around the mall and the stadium. I said mall because I changed my outfit in the Express dressing room after picking up the pants, because I already had the sweater and my clear bag. That saved me a bunch of time, too! However, once it got chilly in the stadium they felt great. The oversized sweater and faux leather joggers allowed for me to stay warm enough while most people got chilly. Plus, since this outfit wasn’t form fitting it allowed for me to eat my Bojangles’ chicken and fries without the fear of looking bloated. Shoes I’ve had these shoes for about four years, which unfortunately means they are hard to find now. They aren’t the classic sneaker that stays in stores like an Air Force 1 by Nike. This pair was my first Puma sneaker that I could remember and I blogged about them when I launched my blog in 2020. The good news is the mid-top version of these sneakers is still sold and I wore them in my last blog post. Now, I was completely indecisive about my lipstick look because my make-up look was pulled together at the last minute when I did my make-up in the car. It wasn’t too bright in the car so I did the best that I could give my circumstances.
Initially, I decided to go with a beige Pat McGrath lipstick (similar to this shade), paired with a deep nude mauve liquid lipstick by Urban Decay, then I topped it with a rose mauve lip cream by Fenty. When I looked at it in the mirror prior to going on the field, I was satisfied with the look. However, once I got on the field and took a few pictures I didn’t like it anymore. It wasn’t bold enough.
That lipstick combo was great! It just didn’t pair well enough with my outfit. Per my usual, I had multiple lipstick options in my purse so I grabbed a bolder option. As the last saving act, I pulled out Prom Queen by The Lip Bar and it saved the day! Granted, initially it was a more muted version of the shade because I had mauve colors as my foundation.
After I ate my Bojangles', I reapplied my lipstick with the bold purple-pinkish shade and it appeared much brighter. I thought it looked even better with my outfit.
Game changer! It might look the same to you, but the color is slightly deeper on its own. Trust me, I know. I've stared at these pictures for longer than I wanted to during the edit process.
This outfit was so bright and comfortable and the bowl game was even better! Although UNC Chapel Hill's football team got blown out by West Virginia University, I wasn't mad. I went to North Carolina State University for undergrad, so I don't root for baby blue. However, their school colors looked great in my photos. Haha!
