Hello, and welcome to my digital portfolio! My name is Tiffany Johnson and I am a magna cum laude graduate of North Carolina State University, holding a B.A. in Communication with a concentration in Mass Media and a B.A. in Political Science with a concentration in Law & Justice. I am also currently in graduate school, part-time, at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte working to obtain a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Marketing.
I love the intersection between communication and community engagement. It is like the best of both worlds and allows for me to merge both of my undergraduate degrees. Throughout college, I strengthened my volunteerism and upon graduating from undergrad I leaned into volunteering within the Charlotte, N.C. community and beyond while looking for full-time employment. Then it hit me (not literally) that the people leading community efforts where I volunteered were doing so as a career, so I began my full-time career working at United Way of Central Carolinas on a contract position. Now, I currently manage two programs that support youth and lead community engagement communications for the City of Charlotte.
In addition to my full time career, I began my journey as a blogger on January 31, 2020, partly because I am a storyteller at heart and wanted to continue to strengthen my passion for the communication field through my love of content creation, and the other part is for reasons listed on my blog's home page.
Aside from working, I am rediscovering my passion for reading. There is something so beautiful about having to visually paint pictures of words described on pages.
I appreciate your taking the time to view some of my work below. Remember, to take some time to peruse my blog, www.somotiffated.com, once you are done looking at this page!
