At this point, I think I'm a fan of Maison Margiela fragrances! They are bold, yet subtle if that makes sense. I was introduced to the Replica collection through the scent "Jazz Club." Although, that one took me a while to like because it's more bold than I typically wear. Once you get past that initial kick, that scent is perfect for the fall/winter months because of its spicy, woody, slightly sweet aroma.
I've definitely gotten my money's worth out of fragrances from this house, because they last on me. The type of wear that you can still smell once you put your clothes in the washing machine. How can you get your fragrances to last longer? Well, my advice is to actually spray them! Don't just apply one to three small sprays and expect those to last you for 10+ hours. Spray it just like your middle school friends sprayed their Axe Body Spray! Okay?! Just kidding, maybe not that much but that rule still applies.
When you walk into a room, you want to be memorable!
Whether it's your outfit, shoes (because that is a totally separate from an outfit in my eyes), purse, make-up, nails, hair, etc. The point is you want to make a statement. I LOVE it when I walk into a room and someone says, "You smell good. What do you have on?" Sometimes it's priced too high and I get teased, which is completely fine. Regardless of if someone wants to be my fragrance twin, I'll still smell good!
I believe that the scents in the Replica collection are all unisex. Feel free to double check that on your own, but I think it's perfectly fine if you wanted to grab a great fragrance to be shared with whomever is in your household.
Now, back to "Under The Lemon Trees." This scent has been great during this season of my life. It helps to relax me when I need to chill.
I've found myself plugging in my waterfall and spraying this scent over my clothes while I chill and watch television. I'm super excited to wear it now that my final graduate school semester has started.
Being enrolled in a Master of Business Administration program is stressful, especially while working full-time, so I'm looking forward to having a musky, spicy, citrusy scent to get me through those long days!
Whether you need a calming scent to wear while lounging or to get you through your rough workdays, this one might be for you!
Maison Margiela listed the notes in this fragrance as the following:
Isn't it interesting that the scent is named Under The Lemon Trees, yet there isn't a lemon note specifically listed? When I spray it, the notes that stand out to me are lime, green tea, and cedarwood! If you're not ready to commit to buying a full-size bottle from the Maison Margiela Replica collection, they offer a set of five .24oz scents for around $75. Under The Lemon Trees isn't included in that set, but they do have Jazz Club! UPDATE: It happened! When I went to the dentist, two of the dental assistants said that I smelled good and asked the name of my perfume. I told you it would happen!! I actually paired two perfumes together and shared both with each assistant.
HONORABLE MENTION: That day I wasn't solely wearing Under the Lemon Trees by Maison Margiela. I layered it with Dolce & Gabbana's "The One" for women. In my mind, it layers perfectly! It has a citrus vibe paired with amber and floral notes. The lily scent in the perfume makes it pop to me. On its own, The One isn't long lasting. However, paired it with the long lasting Under The Lemon Trees, it seems to stay a bit longer in the duo!
