The power of email marketing is real! There I was minding my business, and Ulta Beauty poofed an email into my inbox letting me know that Fenty Skin released a new body care collection, exclusively at Ulta for two days, prior to its full release on October 5, 2025. That meant that I had a chance to get my hands on any or every product in the collection to check out its smell and packaging. I was only able to see the Body Start’r Set, which is its mini trio, and I was pleased!
I have a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Digital Marketing, so their digital and physical products within this campaign caught my attention on another level. These products are supposed to support sustainability through their ability to be recycled.
Fragrance Notes
The product packaging highlights Vanilla Flowers as a warm gourmand with notes of Vanilla Orchid and Sugared Woods. The full fragrance notes of this product are as follows:
Tiffany’s Take
This scent is easy on the nose. One that isn’t too strong, but immediately strikes up a conversation as someone would be inclined to say, “You smell good,” followed by asking the name of your scent.
It smells sweet, but not overbearing. The Sugared Woods note somehow lends to smelling like a sugared vanilla. It definitely takes the edge off of having a straight woodsy scent and the Fluffy Musk as a base note adds another layer of comfort. It’s a beautiful blend between sweet and sultry! Vanilla Flowers can be worn year-round. Whether you’re going to run errands, work, school, church, it really blends into the everyday while allowing you to stand out in every environment.
Does it have a Scent Similarity?
Fenty Skin did a really good job of setting this scent apart from the rest. If you are searching for a scent relation prior to purchasing this scent, then maybe think of Bath & Body Works’ Warm Vanilla Sugar as it has vanilla, white orchid, sandalwood, and sparkling sugar. Still, the musk in Vanilla Flowers makes it unique, but that scent similarity could help you in decision making!
Marketing Rollout & Consumer Anticipation
I mentioned my background in marketing, so I pay deep attention to marketing pushes and consumer behavior. Studying the latter was one of my favorite things to study in graduate school. This being exclusive to Ulta Beauty first seems to be a statement. Do you remember when Fenty Beauty, and its subsidiaries, first rolled out and it was exclusive to Sephora? The pendulum has swung. According to Statista, a top resource for market data, in 2024 the leading health and beauty retailers in revenue by the billions are Ulta Beauty ($11.23B), Sephora ($8.63B), and Bath & Body Works ($6.75B). So, exclusively offering products in a leading retailer in the beauty industry is a boss move!
It seems like this updated product offering should work in their favor!
Body Start'r Mini Body Trio - Vanilla Flowers
This mini trio set is great for travel! If you’re like me and refuse to spend a bunch of money on every new product that releases, then this could be a great option for you too! It is $39. As it is a trio it comes with three products, and includes a body wash, bubble bath, and body mist. This mini set is currently exclusive to Vanilla Flowers. As I purchased this product set, I will review them in the order that I used them.
Allover Body Mist
Its atomizer is amazing! That’s the first thing that I realized upon the first spray. I gave my description of the scent earlier within this article, but I can now speak to how it makes you feel. LUXURIOUS! It’s a subtle sweet aroma that I have noticed has a little bit of staying power. I sprayed it on the shirt that I slept in last night and I could smell hints of it this morning. Then, I sprayed it some more and am wearing this scent today. All those sprays barely put a dent in the liquid in the bottle, so I’m going to attribute that to the atomizer and it maximizing the product in its spray.
I know the body mist market is popular amongst teenagers, but I really do hope that Fenty Skin releases a perfume in this scent. Until then, I’ll keep it in my purse to refresh throughout the day as needed. Big Dripp'r (Body Wash)
When using this product, I put about two quarters worth into a wet exfoliating bath mitt that I recently purchased from Dollar Tree. I purposely used the exfoliating mitt because I wanted to feel super smooth by the time that I got done. It lathered very well and I made it work. I didn’t feel the need to apply more product and wanted to authentically be able to speak to its ability to perform without using the whole bottle in one setting.
I didn’t workout yesterday, so if that’s your story then you might need a bit more product to put it into heavy duty. Haha! 30 minutes after using the Big Dripp’r my skin still felt smooth and the fragrance stayed. I waited as long as I could prior to putting on lotion because I wanted to see how long the fragrance stayed. Sure, I could’ve put on the body mist after applying a lightly scented lotion. However, isn’t this an experiment?
It would be nice for this collection to expand to a body cream or body lotion, so that others don’t have to take one for the team like I did. Haha.
Rich Dip Bubble Bath
From this picture, this product looks its smooth, thick, and creamy! Its aesthetic seems like it produces a lot of bubbles, too. I will be honest in saying that you’re going to have to check back in a day or two, so that I can update this section after use. As I paid for the products in this article, I’m not in the business of wasting product and want to enjoy them just as you would! Stay tuned!
Update: Okay, so I used the product! I will say that it did look thick like I thought and felt very moisturizing to touch. As a hand soap, this would be a great option. As far as a bubble bath, I feel as if the richness of the product prevents it from producing a lot of bubbles. I squeezed it into a tub of hot water and I had to mix it up (aka splash it back and forth) to see its action. I just got to the point where I put some in my hands and let the water hit my hands to allow it to dilute and then more bubbles came. So, if you're determining whether to buy the body wash or the bubble bath, then I'd definitely go with the body wash. The bubble bath would be a cute option for hand soap. Given that its $38 for a full size bottle, that decision will have to be up to you and your budget!
An additional update is that the full-sized bottles in this scent have been released as I'm updating this on October 12, 2025. Here are the full bottle pics:
