I don’t know if they ever fully left, but they seem to be on the rise right now! Fenty Skin was known for their perfume in 2021. Four years later, they hopped on the body mist train like so many other beauty companies. If you read my beauty article from last month titled, Trio Treat Yourself to Vanilla Flowers by Fenty Skin, A Vanilla Woodsy Scent, then you would remember my mentioning the significance of Fenty Skin making these products exclusively available to Ulta Beauty’s Diamond & Platinum Rewards Members two days prior to its release. Per a 2024 Statista report, the top three leaders in health and beauty retail are Ulta Beauty ($11.23B), Sephora ($8.63B), and Bath & Body Works ($6.75B). Partnering with the beauty retail leader after dominating with Sephora for so many years is a smart move! When returning to Ulta Beauty to smell the fruity and floral scents in this collection, I was able to encourage a fellow shopper to buy the mini trio set so that she could try all the products for $39. I’m known to be quite the saleswoman, so proceed at your own risk! Haha. Word on the street is that Green Raspberry is limited, because it only comes in the body mist. Hey, Bouquet and Vanilla Flowers both have a trio of products, so they should be around for a long time. If you’re solely into mini body mists, you can get them individually or in pairs of the latter scents. Based on the product size to cost ratio, I would declare this collection to be on the pricier side. Tiffany’s Take I bought the Vanilla Flowers Body Start’r Set in October and did a full review of its products: the body mist, body wash, and bubble bath. I’ll provide an abbreviated overview here, but if you’re a lover of details then click here to read more! The atomizer on the Allover Body Mist is refreshingly awesome! As someone that has rediscovered my love of body mists, having a solid atomizer is key. If that term is too technical for you, it means the sprayer on the bottle. It sprays evenly and widely and after having it for a month and using it often, I still have more than two-thirds of the bottle left. It’s staying power is strong for a body mist. Given that this collection doesn’t have a lotion or a body cream, spraying it heavily on you and your clothes will be vital. In using the Big Dripp’r Body Wash, a little goes a long way! When I first used it in the shower, I used two drops that were the size of a quarter and placed them on an exfoliating body mitt and it lasted well. Normally, I’m very generous with the product that I use, but wanted to make sure that I could provide a review that could allow for my audience to stretch their dollars’ worth. Despite there not being a body lotion or body cream within this collection, there was staying power from the body wash for at least 30 minutes after my shower. The Rich Dip Bubble Bath was my least favorite out of the trio. My first impression in just looking at the bottle was that it is rich and creamy, and it definitely holds true to that impression after use. Unfortunately, the thing that makes it optically beautiful is its downfall. It drops thickly into the bath and for that reason it’s harder to create bubbles. I ended up needing to splash around where the product was to try and create bubbles, but got tired and put the product in my hands and let the running water create bubbles that way. It still wasn’t many, although the bath water did smell great. As I’m writing this article, I’m thinking it could be worth a shot to try the body wash as bubble bath and vice versa. The body wash isn’t as thick and that could be a good work around if you’re set on buying these products! Vanilla FlowersFragrance Notes
This is a spicy, woodsy, gourmand that is different from prior vanillas that I’ve smelled. I like that it is soft, yet still has an edge. I barely smell the lily, because the other notes are so prominent. Since I purchased this last month, I’ve worn it often and enjoy it as a nighttime scent and a daytime scent. When I’m out and about, I’ll layer it with a good smelling vanilla lotion and sometimes a soft vanilla perfume in addition. This is a reminder to play around with your fragrances! Hey, BouquetFragrance Notes
I’m not necessarily a floral type of person. I say that as a person that loves perfumes with lily, sometimes jasmine. So, correction, I’m not a person that is used to rose scents but I love that so many folks gravitate towards that scent! I can appreciate that Hey, Bouquet leans towards sweetness, while not being overpowering. It’s true to its name, and surely smells like a bouquet of flowers. The floral notes trump the rest for me. Green RaspberryFragrance Notes
When I was formulating my thoughts on this collection, in-store, there were several people that came up to me and said this was their favorite scent of the collection! They knew to ask me because I was in there spraying them heavily on the scent stick and then writing down my thoughts so that they wouldn’t escape my mind. Haha! Some liked Green Raspberry for nostalgia reasons, others because it just smells pretty. Now, it is very prominent in its raspberry note. I typically know raspberry like the fruit being red, so what exactly the green does to change up the scent . . . I do not know. However, I do know that it smelled like a like a lip gloss that I used back in grade school. This is a great gift option from youth to young adult! Layering this scent could be a challenge, because the notes are so established. It has raspberry and cassis, which I love to pair together! So maybe, you could find a fruity lotion to layer with the mist to contribute to its staying power. Good luck! Let me know, will you be trying these products?
