I recently rediscovered my love of Dollar Tree! Not only do they have snacks for the low, but they have low-cost gems in beauty, aromatherapy, and home décor items for do-it-yourself projects. I didn’t realize it was a thing to be able to spot different products in Dollar Tree. While the thrill of searching for products is different than Marshalls or Home Goods, the adrenaline rush is still there!
Reddit put me on to a Curology product that was usually $18 but was selling at Dollar Tree for $1.25. I tried several locations but came up short in my search. I realized that I didn’t need or want the product, I more so was intrigued by the challenge of the hunt. Was there wasted gas in the process? Maybe. But, is it really a waste if I worked to find a win? Definitely not!
Side Note: Curology’s 4oz Liquid Pore Exfoliant is currently $6.99 at Marshalls! I did find THREE items at Dollar Tree that I have incorporated into my routine! Let’s chat! Garnier Skinactive Micellar Cleansing Jelly Water with Charcoal
This product is one that I use in conjunction with makeup remover wipes. This is a great second step in the makeup removal process. To be certain, I did try it as the first step but it took too much effort to remove makeup and didn’t feel like it got as deep of a clean. I am currently using store brand makeup remover cleansing towelettes, so with those I’m able to draw most of the makeup out of my pores while also getting rid of the day’s mascara. Then, this micellar water acts as double duty to draw out remnants of makeup that the remover wipes missed.
It is jelly like, which I prefer because other micellar water products can be runny. It applied well on the cotton rounds that I purchased from Dollar Tree as well. It doesn’t take much product to get the job done, which is great because saving money is why I was in Dollar Tree in the first place! This one is suitable for acne-prone skin, which is my skin category. Having checked Garnier’s website, this one is a discontinued product. So, happy searching! Dove Nourishing Care Intensive Cream + EcoTools Bamboo Charcoal and Rose Petal Infused Facial Sponges
Although these were pictured together, they are used separately! It was easier to hold when photographing them from my phone. So, I’ll go into detail in the separate pic references below.
Dove Nourishing Care Intensive Cream
This Dove Nourishing Care Intensive Cream is so creamy! I’ve often found myself using it instead of lotion. I love the wave effect that is created after using my finger to swipe out product. It’s so pretty! The smell is a plus as it reminds me of Avon’s Skin So Soft Original products! A new product and nostalgia all in one. A win is a win!
The Dove packaging says 48 hours of moisture, but I’m not going 48 hours without washing my hands so I cannot attest to that claim. However, it does seem like after washing my hands it keeps moisture a tad. I continued to reapply the product after washing my hands to ensure that my skin is smooth and happy. I’ve been to several Dollar Tree stores and this one is often in stock, so hopefully you can find it during your visit.
EcoTool Bamboo Charcoal and Rose Petal Infused Facial Sponges
I hope this product stays in stock FOREVER! It has been a welcome addition to my skincare routine. I use Renewing Salicylic Acid Cleanser from CereVe and it lathers very well with both the rose and charcoal infused sponges from EcoTools. As you can see from the photo above, it suggests that you replace them every 30 days for best results.
Typically, I used the rose infused brush in the morning because its softer. After a day of makeup, I follow the process I shared earlier in this article (makeup remover wipes, micellar water), then use my face wash paired with the charcoal infused brush to really get in there to cleanse my pores because it is more coarse. I want this to be a staple in my beauty routine! I did find it for a quarter cheaper on the EcoTools website directly and immediately felt like I got got, if you’re familiar with that old saying. However, having paid the extra quarter for the thrill of the find is alright with me!
